Nutrition goal: pre-plan b'fast and lunch each day to make sure I stay on track/clean. Switch from WW points tracking to calorie/carb/protein/fat tracking (using MyFitnessPal.com and iPhone app).
Fitness goal: BUY HEART RATE MONITOR! Start each set of push ups on my toes in whatever workout I'm doing- continue as long as possible before switching to knees. Get # I can complete today, and compare with # for next Sunday.
Wow you look great! Good luck on your goals! I'll be joining you on this journey! :)
ReplyDeleteI second this opinion, your before pics - amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow, thank you. That's just not at all how I want my waist to look though.
Deletegreat goals... I like the concept of breaking our big goals down to a smaller goal for the week. They seem much more attainable this way.
ReplyDeleteThat's what gets me every time, lack of planning. I'm loving your small goals!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and well done for recognising that you need to plan, that's a huge step in the right direction. I'm a challenge member too my goals should go up tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteJust to mention it but you could win a heart rate monitor on my blog right now, worth a go! I'm on My Fitness Pal too, if you want to add me it's WeightWars. Good to meet you.
I love the push-up goals... best way to increase the amount you can do. And yay to no "girl" push-ups... I HATE that term!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a crazy feeling to not be eating ENOUGH for once? I feel like that happens to the "Biggest Losers" all the time, but I never understood it until I got there myself.
ReplyDeletei am looking for a HRM too!!! i want one that has the option for constant monitoring and one touch monitoring. let us know when you find one and what you got!!
ReplyDeleteI really need to buy a HRM as well. Otherwise I really have no clue how many calories I am burning during my exercise videos. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGreat push up goal!! Im at one!! But someday!!!! someday!!! Good luck this week!!
ReplyDeleteI'm at FOUR! Blah!! However, I do continue the sets on my knees, and when another set of reps comes up in the workout, I start again on my toes. So over the course of the hour long workout, I did 7 real push ups. And a half! :)
DeleteIt's the only discouraging thing going on in my fitness endeavor lately. When I see other women on the exercise DVD's doing a dozen sets of push ups of all kinds of power variations, I am dumbfounded by just how weak I am compared to them. That sucks.
I'm looking to buy a HRM, let me know what you think once you get one. Thanks for the comment on my blog about the WW points - I eat a lot of produce (aka 0 PPs) and more when I work out, so I'm really careful about eating enough to lose weight. I'll definitely check though with a WW leader though, so thanks!!
ReplyDeleteLove your goals! We are wanting to lose about the same amount of weight-I want to lose 12 pounds. Looking forward to following you and getting inspiration from you on this challenge. :)

I've approached push ups with the same attitude - just gotta keep trying it until it comes naturally (I hope that day comes!). I recently bought a Polar HRM and hope to set it up and start using it in a day or two.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to HRM, gotta start saving my egg money again! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I so agree, planning is such an important step in weight loss!
Looking forward to seeing you drop that weight!
I absolutely need my HTM to get my exercise done, and done well!
